3 Things to Expect During a SculpSure Body Contouring Treatment

SculpSure is the latest breakthrough in non-invasive body contouring/fat reduction treatments. It is the first FDA-cleared non-invasive laser treatment for reduction of fat on the abdomen, flanks, back, and thighs. Recently, it also received FDA clearance for reduction of fat under the chin.

If you are looking for a non-surgical way to remove stubborn belly fat or fat on the flanks or other areas mentioned above, this treatment might just be the solution. We recommend that you schedule a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Tang for evaluation of your fat issues and subsequent recommendation for treatment.

For your reference, below are three things you can expect during a SculpSure treatment:

1. You may feel a little discomfort

As intense heat is applied underneath the skin (from 107.6 to 116.6 degrees Fahrenheit) during your SculpSure treatment, you may feel a little discomfort as the applicator reaches its maximum temperature. Maximum heat is directed towards the targeted fat cells to damage them to the point where they are no longer viable.

2.The process alternates between delivering a heating and cooling effect

The device uses a cooling technology that automatically starts when the maximum temperature has been reached. This helps keep the surface of the skin cool, minimizing discomfort and ensuring the safety of the patient.

3. The target areas may appear red and feel a little tender

Again, this has to do with the heat applied underneath the skin. If you notice redness on the skin or the target area feels tender to the touch once the SculpSure applicators have been removed, don’t be alarmed. These are normal and will go away on their own.
