What to Expect from Ultherapy Eyebrows Treatment

Ultherapy is a non-invasive ultrasound-based treatment that stimulates collagen growth beneath the skin. Although Ultherapy eyebrows treatment is not usually as effective as a brow lift, it may be the best alternative available for those not willing to undergo a surgical procedure. If you’re still hesitant about this non-invasive procedure, here’s a breakdown of what to expect from Ultherapy eyebrows treatment at Rejuvé Medical.

  1. Consultation – Aesthetic procedures at Rejuvé Medical normally begin with a quick consultation. This is to ensure that our goals are aligned and that the treatment that you desire is the best option for you.
  2. Medication – NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)such as ibuprofen and aspirin are not necessary. Although bruising is rare, clients taking blood-thinning medication such as Plavix and Coumadin may be more prone to it.Patients sometimes will take a medication to relax them during the procedure. There is also ProNox available which delivers nitrous oxide, laughing gas, which can provide more comfort for the procedure if needed
  3. Makeup – It’s best to arrive for your appointment without makeup, or be prepared to remove it, and reapply afterwards if desired.
  4. Ultherapy Treatment – The treatment is administered using a hand-held ultrasound device. Some amount of discomfort is to be expected due to the protrusion of bone and the thinness of skin around the brow area, however this can vary depending on how aggressive the treatment will be. The entire procedure takes around 10-30 minutes to complete.
  5. Aftercare – Mild swelling may occur and, in rare cases, bruising. The swelling should disappear in a day. With treatment to the brow area, soreness and tingling can occur in the lateral forehead due to the large cluster of nerves.

The last thing to expect from Ultherapy eyebrows treatment is results. The actual results can vary from person to person. The skin should begin to tighten over a period of weeks, and should peak after around 90 to 120 days. Contact us to learn more.
