CoolSculpting Upper Arms: 3 Need-to-know Facts

Stubborn fats are those fats that simply won’t go away no matter how much you diet and exercise. They are usually found in the belly area, flanks, thighs, and arms. A common frustration among individuals with stubborn fats on the arms is the “jiggling” of these fats every time they wave their arms. Luckily, CoolSculpting arms is now FDA-cleared, which means you can now have these subcutaneous fats, which are the stubborn, jiggly fats in the arms, removed for good.

First time to hear about the CoolSculpting arms treatment? Here are a few facts you need to know:

1. It’s non-invasive, with little to no discomfort

Not all non-invasive procedures are painless, which is why some patients request their doctors to give them some form of anesthesia or numbing medicine/cream. With CoolSculpting arms treatments, patients do not need anesthesia. Since it uses a fat-freezing device, the heat won’t be applied (which is usually the cause for pain or discomfort on some patients) on the target areas. You may feel a slight tingling, pulling sensation as the device works to freeze the fat cells but patients say it usually goes away after the first few minutes of treatment. Most patients report feeling minimal to no discomfort at all.

2. Each arm takes about 35 minutes to treat

Each application to a given area takes 35 minutes so if both arms are done then it will take 70 minutes. There have been great strides to reduce the total number minutes needed to receive a full treatment. Back in 2017 it took 60 minutes with each application so the time has been reduced substantially. If you think about it, “Does 35 minutes sound like a long time for a life long fat solution?”

Dr. John Tang, M.D. advises that you discuss your treatment goals with your chosen CoolSculpting physician to determine three things: treatment areas, the number of applications needed to treat a given area, and number of sessions required per treatment area based on your treatment goals and expected results.

3. Results and treatment sessions vary from patient to patient

With CoolSculpting arms treatments (or any other cosmetic procedure), results will vary from one patient to the next even if the specifics of their cosmetic issue are identical. This is because each patient reacts to treatments differently. One patient with the same issue as the next may require just one CoolSculpting arms session because their body had a more positive response to the procedure.

Also, optimal results are achieved about four weeks following your treatment so just because you don’t see results right away, it doesn’t mean the procedure didn’t work on you.
